St. Bernadette's Council 10959 has volunteered for over 20 years to staff a concession booth at the Houston Air Show. This is one of our council's primary fundraisers which is always held during the month of October. For 2 days, a crew of 15 knights and family members, man the booth for 9 hours on a Saturday and Sunday selling concession foods and showing the general public how much we love to serve others. The proceeds from our sales contribute to our annual charities revenue and is distributed to more than 10 charitable organizations, such as, St. B's Christian Action, American Wheelchair Foundation, Mercy Tree, Loaves and Fishes, and Christus point of Light Clinic in Dickinson, TX.

On Saturday, October 22, several members of our council were present, with other KofC councils from around the Houston area, to support the annual March of the Surviving Youth rally. Our guys handed out waters and helped with crowd control. The March of the Surviving Youth is an annual pro-life march around Planned Parenthood in Houston. The day started with a mass at the Catholic Charismatic Center, followed by a rally with hotdogs, music, and a pro-life speaker. The day concluded with a group walk to the Planned Parenthood building, where the participants marched “Jericho Style”, seven times around Planned Parenthood, blowing trumpets while praying the Rosary. This year’s rally attracted 500 youth participants.
